This year's deep and talented NBA Draft Class has had GM for all 30 NBA franchises abuzz for a few years now, heralding this draft as the deepest draft in a decade.
Despite early exits by some of the most vaunted of the draft prospects, the Chicago Bulls, with two mid-first round draft picks, stand to get a good look at several players that will be available when it is their turn to select during the Final Four contests this weekend.
1 Florida vs 7 UConn

Chris Walker may have the highest ceiling of any prospect within Chicago's reach. |
Florida's freshman mystery man,
Chris Walker, has missed a significant portion of the season due to academic probation, but the 6' 10" Small Forward has the skills and agility of a future lottery pick. Due to not playing much of the season for Florida and the rawness of his game, he has been projected in the late first round/ early second round, but given time to develop, he has the size and tools to be a number one overall pick. Deciding to stay another season to play for Billy Donovan would be his best move this summer.

Shabazz Napier is a scoring PG that has an NBA ready game. |
Shabazz Napier has been the catalyst for 7th seeded UConn's Final Four run passed powerhouses Villanova, Iowa State, and Michigan State. In the NCAA Tournament, the 6' 1" PG has been showing off his complete game (18.1 PPG, 5.9 RPG, 4.9 APG during the regular season), raising his scoring to 23.3 PPG while still averaging 5 RPG and 4.5 APG.
2 Wisconsin vs 8 Kentucky
|
James Young, Kentucky's second leading scorer, has risen into the lottery on some mock drafts. |
Kentucky's
James Young is prototypical size for an NBA Shooting Guard and he has all the tools. He beats you in so many ways and has a lethal jumpshot. He has great athleticism, his ability to finish in traffic is uncanny. As Kentucky continues its march to the National Championship, the 6' 6" Guard-Forward will continue to rise in the mock drafts. Latest mock drafts have Young going in the lottery, well before the Bulls will have a shot at him.
One of the best shots the Bulls have of adding a quality back-up for Joakim Noah, Kentucky's
Willie Cauley-Stein, is an athletic rebounder and rim protector. He is a legit 7-footer who excels on the defensive end and plays with passion (sound familiar?). According to Kentucky Coach, John Calipari, you will not get to see Cauley-Stein in Kentucky's Final Four match-up this weekend due to the ankle injury that he suffered in Kentucky's win over Louisville, but if Kentucky reaches the NCAA Championship game, hope you get look at this future NBA player.
