Melo has been quietly doing his due diligence and checking out the city. He is also wisely making contact with the people that would be his best advisers when he becomes a superstar in the city of Chicago.
Part of his recon has been to spend time with Scottie and Larsa Pippen and their family. Who better to know how bright the spotlight is as a superstar on the Chicago Bulls than former Chicago Bulls Point Forwards and 6-Time NBA Champion Scottie Pippen. And who else would know what it would be like to bring a championship to the city of Chicago than Scottie?

Chicago Bulls Head Coach Tom Thibodeau has reportedly made inquiries about Carmelo Anthony of several of his previous head coaches.
And speaking of former coaches, Jim Boeheim, who coached Team USA, as well as, the Syracuse Orangemen to the National Championship in 2003 with Carmelo Anthony as his star player, speculated on the Waddle and Silvy Show that Melo would leave money on the table to join the Chicago Bulls.

With the advanced planning on both sides, there is actually good reason to be optimistic that Carmelo Anthony and the Chicago Bulls will be a match if both sides want it to be.
