After resurrecting the Bulls' playoff run following the trade sending Luol Deng to Cleveland, the Chicago Bulls big man led the undermanned team to the 4th Seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs.
For his efforts, the voters had him in contention for the NBA Most Valuable Player Award, and he was named Defensive Player of the Year.

Oh, and lets not forget that he is in part responsible for helping to recruit Carmelo Anthony to the Chicago Bulls, which seems to be going pretty well.
