Two Chicago Bulls Moves To Make Before The NBA Trade Deadline

With Joakim Noah helping to key a fourth quarter come from behind win in the 2014 NBA All-Star Game, the Chicago Bulls and their loyal fans look forward to the rapidly approaching trade deadline.

Many playoff teams have inquired about the services of gritty, defense-first veteran PG Kirk Hinrich.
Word is that Bulls management has already stated that they will most likely stand pat, indicating that returns for the most desired Chicago Bulls trade chips were no where near asking price.

Kirk Hinrich, Mike Dunleavy, and Carlos Boozer were some of the more bandied Bulls' names emerging from the rumor mill, however no Chicago Bulls player seemed to be absolutely off the trading block.

Including 2014 NBA All-Star, Joakim Noah, who had been mentioned as going to Phoenix, as a part of a total rebuild scenario.

As the NBA Trade Deadline approaches, a pair of deals involving the Chicago Bulls are ones that should be made:

1.  Kirk Hinrich and future 2nd round draft pick to GSW for Harrison Barnes.

Harrison Barnes would benefit from a move to Chicago.
The Warriors had expressed their desire to trade for Kirk Hinrich prior to pulling off a three-team trade with the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat that gave them Jordan Crawford and MarShon Brooks.

However, Crawford is not a pure playmaker, so the Warriors still lack a solid back up for starting point guard Stephen Curry.

In additon, the Warriors front office is not happy with their current position in the competitive Western Conference standings, prompting speculation that another big trade involving some of their youngsters could be imminent.

"Considering the heightened expectations this season and the fact that Golden State owner Joe Lacob means it when he says he's trying to build a championship team, it's safe to say the Warriors aren't content with their current standing (sixth in the Western Conference)," via USA Today. "They have one of the most aggressive front offices in the league, and rival executives believe that anyone not named Stephen Curry or Andrew Bogut is up for discussion."

In this proposed deal, the Bulls would get Barnes for Hinrich and future draft pick (likely second-round). The Bulls get a possible replacement for Deng, while the Warriors get a gritty, defense-first veteran playmaker to get Curry a breather.

2.  Carlos Boozer to NOP for Eric Gordon.

Eric Gordon would give the Bulls a much needed player that can create his own shots.
Another swap with a great deal of potential sends Carlos Boozer to the playoff-bound Pelicans for Eric Gordon.

The deal would give the Pelicans more frontline help in the form of double-double machine Boozer while also alleviating the glut at the guard position.

The Bulls would get a player proficient at creating his own shots in the form of Gordon.

"Shooting guard Eric Gordon, once thought to be a great young piece for the New Orleans Pelicans, is now being shopped around the league according to a report from Sam Amick at USA Today."
