Offensive Minded Chicago Bulls Dominate Nets For 2-0 Season Start

BROOKLYN, NY.  It's only been two regular season NBA games, but so far, Fred Hoiberg's head coaching tenure with the Chicago Bulls has been a success.

The Chicago Bulls are 2-0 and have been scoring an average of 106 points per game.

Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls had their way with the Brooklyn Nets on their way to a 115-100 victory.

Last night, the Chicago Bulls used runs in the 1st and 3rd quarters to build big leads, and after amassing a 19 point lead in the 3rd quarter, the explosive Chicago Bulls cruised on to an easy victory over the Brooklyn Nets.

Jimmy Butler lead the way with 24 points to go along with 4 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals while playing 34 mins.

Nikola Mirotic followed up his strong performance against the Cavaliers with another great effort, going for 18 points and 9 rebound, and he continued his hot 3-point shooting, going 4 for 8 from three on the night. Mirotic is shooting 58.3% from three so far this young season.

Pau Gasol was once again solid, putting up 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 1 block.

Out of the limelight of #TheReturn, Derrick Rose had another pleasantly surprising game. It was not surprising to see Rose scoring, but rather how easily he was getting his baskets in the flow of Hoiberg's offensive system.

Derrick, for the second game in a row, has been doing the majority of his scoring in the paint, where he was tremendously success when he first exploded into the league.

But while it has been tough to navigate the paint when defenses were packing it in against the Chicago Bulls due to the lack of outside scoring, Hoiberg's dynamic offensive system has been stretching and misdirecting the defenses, to get Mirotic wide open looks for the 3-point shot, or to get Rose and Butler the ball, on the move and headed right for the rim.

It has been a beautiful thing to watch, and no doubt the early success with it will be a great foundation to build future success upon this season.
